Inexpensive and easy to install, the three-piece telescoping design allows the installer on-site adjustablility to fit all rough openings. Complete by bonding together with PVC cement. U-shaped wrap around plate is required by Johnson County codes and currently in draft proposal for Kansas City. Don’t risk a failed inspection because you don’t have them. The design protects the edge of the door and is often used simultaneously with security strikes.  We stock in both Oil Rubbed Bronze finish and Satin Nickel. Costs about $7.00 per unit.

#4: Security Strike

The Jamb Brace™ is a heavy-duty aluminum insert that strengthens the weakest part of a door–it’s frame. Completely concealed within the door trim it is unseen.  Currently required by many city codes. It also makes a great upsell on all your exterior door units offering your homeowners peace of mind. Can also be used in retro-fit applications. Costs about $30.00 for a single door unit.
