Top Remodeling Priority: Functionality

One of the latest polls by the National Association of Remodeling Industry found that over half the amount of homeowners consider functionality the top priority in remodels. Instead of moving into new homes homeowners are remodeling to make their current dwellings more functional for years to come. With this information contractors will be able to design more efficiently knowing how the owner will be functioning in their space. Personalizing remodels will allow homeowners to convert their spaces for future events or additions. It is important for homeowners and contractors to consider outlet placement, types of lighting, universal features and how the new addition will blend with the old. Tending to all these factors will give homeowners the functionality they are looking for in remodels.
